Busan most Scenic Temple: Haedong yonggungsa temple 해동 용궁사

Your Busan trip can never be complete if you have missed out Haedong yonggungsa temple 해동 용궁사. Haedong yonggungsa temple 해동 용궁사 is situated on the coast of the north-eastern portion of Busan.

The reason for Haedong yonggungsa temple 해동 용궁사 to be in my list was because I have always wanted to visit this temple by the sea. I have seen plenty of photos of Haedong yonggungsa temple 해동 용궁사 before my Korea trip and I got captivated.

At the entrance of Haedong yonggungsa temple 해동 용궁사 was majestic, we were greeted by 12 zodiac sign of statue.

Follow the stairs which will lead your way to the temple. Some buddha sculpture can be spotted as you make your way to the temple, they were like little surprises.

Walking through the stairs was like ‘finding my way out of the maze’ and I have welcomed by this breathtaking view.

Haedong yonggungsa temple 해동 용궁사

A temple bulit beside the ocean was indeed distinctive. I felt a peace of mind when I there. The soothing sounds of waves and wind blowing on my face. It’s such a beautiful place to visit in Busan.

It’s a buddhist temple, it seems similar to the traditional temple as seen in the korean drama. Upon watching several korean drama, I have finally fulfilled one of my wishlist which was to visit a korean temple. HAHA!

The elegant design of the temple no matter is the rooftop of the temple or the window is simply artistic and brings the taste of the korea traditional culture out well.

If you want a son, remember to touch this buddha’s stomach many times.

A small stretch of shops can be seen on the streets while you make your way to the temple. After visiting the temple, you can do some shopping for souvenirs by purchasing local korean dried food like anchovy or their kelp to make soup stock.

Korean street snacks can also be found such as cuttlefish, hotteok and their traditional sweet. Their bbq cuttlefish is really delicious!

Getting around Busan
