Volando Spring Spa & Resort is one of the best thing for my Taiwan trip at Wulai!
For my previous trip, I did went to a free hot spring at beitou provided to us by our travel agency. However we were unsatisfied about it as we did not manage to feel the shoikness.
Luckily, I came upon some recommendation on the magazine about Wulai hot spring in Taiwan & was so eager to try it out.
It was the 1st time I went to Volando Spring spa & resort therefore I was unsure where we should alight and we eventually missed the stop. We only saw it after we have passed it T.T
After entering the resort, we were greeted by the natural beautiful lake. Makes me wanna scream AHHHH now! Fly me back now please~
Volando Spring Spa & Resort 馥蘭朵烏來度假酒店 Wulai Hot Spring
Taroko National Park is a must visit attraction in Hualien. Hualien is approximately 2hr away from Taipei by HSR. Hualien is another prettiest Taiwan city that I have ever visited. It has a good combination of the ocean and mountain. I only had one night […]

After watching 食尚玩家 introducing many delicious Taiwanese breakfast, I was so keen to try it for my next Taiwan trip. I even did research for the Taiwan breakfast that it can be found near my hotel area!
However during my next future trip, I would like to try more local Taiwanese breakfast that are not operate by chains.
I was super excited for tasting my first Taiwan breakfast, it was indeed scrumptious and affordable!!
This Taiwan trip was different from the usual Taiwan trip because we are travelling from taipei to Yilan and Hualien. Our private driver bought us to Mr Brown Castle Cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡! It was a real castle in reality except there are no prince in the castle haha.
Taipei to Yilan
After we have touched down on Taoyuan airport, we immediately depart to Yilan then to Hualien by our hired mini van.
Our private driver uncle brought us to one of the attractions in Yilan, Mr Brown Castle Cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡!
Mr Brown castle cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡 is situated at the top of the mountain. Without proper transport it might be difficult for you to get up to the castle.
Mr Brown Castle Cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡
It’s such a pretty day with such a nice weather to visit the Mr Brown castle cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡.
Mr Brown coffee is set up by a Taiwan company, King car that uses Arabica beans.
Mr Brown Castle Cafe Interior
At Mr Brown castle cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡, they sell proper meals other than their signature coffee
Our first lunch in Taiwan~
The food was quite delicious especially the potato salad.
And the thickness of the chocolate drink, yummy!
Catch the beautiful scenery behind the Mr Brown castle cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡. A good spot to overlook the sea and even the turtle island!
You can spend some time at Mr Brown castle cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡 to explore the castle. I have read that you can even climb up to the rooftop of the castle. I believe the scenery will be even more spectacular.
Really in love with Taiwan’s sea and I can’t them take off my eyes.
Yilan is also a surfer paradise, the locals will surf at Wushigang Beach, Wai Ao. Another things to do in Yilan is surfing!!
Due to time constraints, we couldn’t explore the rooftop of the castle, what a waste~!
Yilan To Hualien
Suhua Highway 蘇花公路
We had to continue our journey to Hualien. In order to reach Hualien by van, we must pass by Yilan, pass through 3 mountains and finally reached Hualien. No kidding!
This scenery made my whole journey more interesting.
We go wow, wow, wow when we saw this! Really can’t believe, it is this beautiful! This is definitely something that I am unable to enjoy in Singapore. Everything is worthy!
Another way to reach Hualien from Taipei is via HSR. However if you were to take HSR, you will missed this fanastic view of Suhua highway.
Hsuehshan Tunnel 雪山隧道
This tunnel is called the snow mountain tunnel and it is also the longest tunnel in Taiwan located at Yilan. It is super dark in the tunnel and going through this tunnel on our way to Hualien.
We saw a cement plant on our way, yet they are still able to keep Hualien so clean and pretty. I am truly amazed.
Qingshui Cliff 清水斷崖
Qingshui cliff 清水斷崖 was so damn gorgeous, I could remember the sea was so calm and I couldn’t even see where the sea ends.
Initially, I didn’t know that we have actually been to Qingshui cliff and I was feeling sad that we miss this must see attraction in Hualien. Luckily my taiwan friend told me that I did went to and I didn’t realise ><
Chongde Tunnel 崇德隧道
You will be able to capture an awesome view of Qingshui cliff near Chongde Tunnel 崇德隧道 at the observatory view. However, if you wish to see it from the shore I am not sure where is it. Initially, I also thought Qingshui cliff is only visible from the shore only.
Catching the sunset while driving our way to Hualien
And we are reaching…
Ziqiang Night Market 自強夜市
So damn cool! FINALLY! After so many hours of car ride, we have reached Hualien.
Mountain views everywhere~
Our first stop in Hualien was Ziqiang Night Market 自強夜市 to settle our dinner!
As of 2017, Ziqiang Night Market 自強夜市 has combined with other night markets and formed the new Hualien Tungtamen Night Market (花蓮東大門觀光夜市).
