On last year May, I travelled to taiwan again. This time covering some other cities such as Taoyuan & Kenting that I have never been to on my previous trip! I explore a few Taoyuan city attractions, it’s a gem to be explored~

While planning for my upcoming trip, I came upon 食尚玩家 who was introducing this Dasi Lakside Coffee 大溪湖畔咖啡 on TV.

食尚玩家 is a well known taiwan food variety show. They have not only travelled around Taiwan for food but also other countries such as Korea, Europe and etc.

To Taoyuan city, we took TRA (自強號) from Banqiao (板橋站) to Jhongli Station (中壢站).

After reaching at Jhongli Station (中壢站), we walked to a bus terminal station and get our tickets for the bus.

PLACES TO VISIT IN TAOYUAN CITY

To tour around Taoyuan, we decided to take 台灣好行. There are different cities and routes you can tour with 台灣好行 .

We chose Cihu 慈湖線, it is a bus route with several stops commonly taken by the locals or the tourists. You can tour Taoyuan attractions by choosing which stop to alight and with this ticket. You can board and alight as many times at one cost.

Initially we wanted to take Xiao Wulai 小烏來線 and explore xiao Wulai’s waterfall but this route only operates on the weekends. ='(

We took a taxi from Daxi old street 大溪老街 to Dasi Lakside Coffee 大溪湖畔咖啡

Lunching with this peaceful lake view is a bliss, it is a worth trip from Taipei to Taoyuan!

There were quite a crowd in the cafe, there are both indoor and outdoor seats. Of course, we opted for the outdoor seats and our seat was just right beside the lake. How awesome!

Our food that comes in a set which includes a soup, salad, main course and dessert. The price for this meal was a value due to the varieties of food. And most importantly, it was damn tasty!

Their famous 二奶咖啡, sipping with a pretty coffee by the lake. This is life!

Definitely a good place to camwhore too…

I was really amazed with this view and the whole dining experience at Dasi Lakeside coffee. There are also a few similar cafe at the same area, be sure that you enter the right cafe.

The location is quite inconvenience too, there are many taiwan locals who drive there so taking a taxi to there is highly recommended. You can asked the staff to book a taxi for you after your meal to daxi old street 大溪老街 for a walk.

It was quite a rare scene these days to have freshly made coffee from the scratch

We entered a shop that sells freshly made tofu and we decided to bring a bottle home. It was so good that was highly praise by my mother =D

Daxi old street 大溪老街 is a good place to have a closer look to the local life. I would want to come back Taoyuan again for my future trip to Taiwan to explore more of this underrated city by tourists.
