Taiwan: Yilan ✈ Hualien – Mr Brown Castle Cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡 & Suhua Highway 蘇花公路

This Taiwan trip was different from the usual Taiwan trip because we are travelling from taipei to Yilan and Hualien. Our private driver bought us to Mr Brown Castle Cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡 & Suhua Highway 蘇花公路! It was a real castle in reality except there are no prince in the castle haha.

Our private driver uncle brought us to one of the attractions in Yilan, Mr Brown Castle Cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡!

Mr Brown castle cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡 is situated at the top of the mountain. Without proper transport it might be difficult for you to get up to the castle.

Catch the beautiful scenery behind the Mr Brown castle cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡. A good spot to overlook the sea and even the turtle island!

You can spend some time at Mr Brown castle cafe 伯朗咖啡城堡 to explore the castle. I have read that you can even climb up to the rooftop of the castle. I believe the scenery will be even more spectacular.

Really in love with Taiwan’s sea and I can’t them take off my eyes.

Yilan is also a surfer paradise, the locals will surf at Wushigang Beach, Wai Ao. Another things to do in Yilan is surfing!!

Due to time constraints, we couldn’t explore the rooftop of the castle, what a waste~!

Suhua Highway 蘇花公路

We had to continue our journey to Hualien. In order to reach Hualien by van, we must pass by Yilan, pass through 3 mountains and finally reached Hualien. No kidding!

Yilan To Hualien: Suhua Highway 蘇花公路

This scenery made my whole journey more interesting.

We go wow, wow, wow when we saw this! Really can’t believe, it is this beautiful! This is definitely something that I am unable to enjoy in Singapore. Everything is worthy!

Another way to reach Hualien from Taipei is via HSR. However if you were to take HSR, you will missed this fanastic view of Suhua highway.

Hsuehshan Tunnel 雪山隧道

Hsuehshan Tunnel 雪山隧道

This tunnel is called the snow mountain tunnel and it is also the longest tunnel in Taiwan located at Yilan. It is super dark in the tunnel and going through this tunnel on our way to Hualien.

We saw a cement plant on our way, yet they are still able to keep Hualien so clean and pretty. I am truly amazed.

Qingshui Cliff 清水斷崖

Qingshui cliff 清水斷崖 was so damn gorgeous, I could remember the sea was so calm and I couldn’t even see where the sea ends.

Initially, I didn’t know that we have actually been to Qingshui cliff and I was feeling sad that we miss this must see attraction in Hualien. Luckily my taiwan friend told me that I did went to and I didn’t realise ><

Chongde Tunnel 崇德隧道

Chongde Tunnel 崇德隧道

You will be able to capture an awesome view of Qingshui cliff near Chongde Tunnel 崇德隧道 at the observatory view. However, if you wish to see it from the shore I am not sure where is it. Initially, I also thought Qingshui cliff is only visible from the shore only.

Catching the sunset while driving our way to Hualien

And we are reaching…

Ziqiang Night Market 自強夜市

Ziqiang Night Market 自強夜市

So damn cool! FINALLY! After so many hours of car ride, we have reached Hualien.
Mountain views everywhere~

Our first stop in Hualien was Ziqiang Night Market 自強夜市 to settle our dinner!

As of 2017, Ziqiang Night Market 自強夜市 has combined with other night markets and formed the new Hualien Tungtamen Night Market (花蓮東大門觀光夜市).
