How to get to Khao Kho, Phetchabun Province from Bangkok?
There are several ways you can reach Khao Kho either by car or plane. You can rent a car or hire a driver to drive you from Bangkok to Khao Kho. A total duration of 5.5hrs of car ride.
Khao Kho nearest airport is Phitsanulok airport (PHS). If time is precious to you, you can opt to take a domestic flight from Don Mueang Airport (DMK) to Phitsanulok airport (PHS), the total flight duration is around 1hr. Take the free shuttle bus from Suvarnabhumi airport to Don Mueang Airport.
Travelereve Tip #1: Free Shuttle bus from Suvarnabhumi airport to Don Mueang Airport
Strongly recommend taking their free shuttle bus from Suvarnabhumi airport to Don Mueang Airport due to a distance away from one airport to another. Find the free shuttle bus on the 2nd Floor (Arrival Hall), Door 3.
The bus ride journey is around 1hr & expect some delay due to jam. Please take into consider the above factors & arrange a suitable flight time.
A few of the low-cost carriers such as Nok Air, Thai Lion Air and AirAsia do fly from Don Mueang Airport to Phitsanulok airport. I have taken Nok Air to Phitsanulok airport & Thai Lion Air from Phitsanulok airport back to Bangkok.
Nok air is generally more pricey probably due to better flight timing and it also comes with a complimentary drink.
I like the Nok Air Aircraft, looking like a big bird so cute! How dedicated they are, providing an umbrella to the passengers! Plus point~
Upon reaching Phitsanulok Airport, we are almost reaching Khao Kho. Khao Kho is located in the Phetchabun Province. Hopped on to our hired van and make our way to The Sense Resort at Khao Kho. The car ride journey is almost 2hrs.
