Agoda Best Price Guarantee: How To Beat The Price?
Do you know about Agoda best price guarantee? After booking your hotel at Agoda website with a confirmed booking, you realized a cheaper price for:
- The same hotel room and date after you refreshed the page at Agoda or
- The same hotel room with the same stay dates on another booking site such as booking.com or Expedia
Agoda promised that you will get a refund! Enjoy your stay with the lower price that you have found.
From my personal experience, I have booked 2 rooms at Hatten Hotel Melaka for the same dates and with the same type of room, Junior Suite for 2 different prices. The reason for the separate booking is because of wanting to request for different preferred choice of bed.

It was just a difference of few minutes and the price has increased by SGD $3.04. It kinda of bothered me, why there is a price changed so quickly. I believe everyone would want to book another similar room with the similar price. Isn’t it?
Out of curiosity, I used another computer to search Hatten Hotel Melaka at Agoda website. I was surprised to see that the price dropped even further!
As compared to the earlier price, there is a total difference of SGD $9 for 2 rooms. Yes, you might argue that the price difference is not a lot but if you can save SGD$9 and still enjoy the similar hotel room with a cheaper price, why not right?
So, I contacted Agoda through their hotline about the price difference issue and the customer service agent told me they have no control over the price fluctuation but Agoda offer Best Price Guarantee under their term of use.
How does Agoda Best Price Guarantee (BPG) works?
If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda and able to provide them with proof that you could book the same room on the same dates at a lower price no matter is booking on Agoda, Booking.com or Expedia. You can complete the Best Price Guarantee Claim Form and Agoda will match the rate and refund you! How cool~
After I filled up the Best Price Guarantee Claim Form with essential screenshots attached as shown above, the customer service at Agoda will either approve or disapprove your claim. Be sure to screenshot this page, showing the Hotel name & the lower price that you have found!
You may resubmit the claim if you have missed out any attachment as an evidence to prove the same type of hotel room with the same dates at a lower price.
Approved Best Price Guarantee Claim
Once you have submitted your Best price Guarantee Claim, the Agoda customer service will contact you shortly by email. This is the approved email I received for my Best price guarantee claim! Yeah to lower price!~
Once I have received the approved Best price guarantee claim email at my bookings under my account. The lower price for Hatten Hotel Melaka has reflected on my bookings page.
Agoda customer service usually reply instantly, this issue is solved within a day. Kudos to Agoda’s good customer service support!
