Kenting, Taiwan is probably the first thing that a Taiwanese could think of in the Summer. The best short getaway for them just approximately 2 hrs away from Taipei to Zouying HSR station. These are the top 8 things to do in Kenting Taiwan regardless of any season in Taiwan!

How to get to kenting Taiwan, Pingtung
To reach Kenting, you will need to take another bus to Kenting after reaching Zouying HSR station. You may purchase the bus ticket at Zouying station. Otherwise, you can head over to Klook to purchase the bus transfer from Zuoying to Kenting to beat the queue
Top Things to do in Kenting #1: Visit Sail Rock 船帆石
This sail rock is one of the popular landmark of Pingtung, Kenting. The sail rock is around 18 meters high, the rock was actually a coral reef that has been rolled down from the coastline into the sea.
I cannot believe how stunning is this place. It was just our first stop in Kenting and the CP level of this itinerary is already so high!
Sail rock is really a beautiful place, totally amaze by the clear bluish sea water. With this breathtaking view, it definitely lifted my mood up!
You may walk on these rocks to capture your Instagrammable moments. However, these rocks by the shore are really sharp. It was definitely a challenge to wear flip flops to walk on these rocks in order to take a nice view of Sail rock. Advisable to wear sneakers if you wanna walk on those rocks.
Water sports can also be found at the Sail rock area. There are also many minsu, accomdation can be found at the Sail rock area. An ideal place to stay in Kenting if you want to wake up in the morning by the sea~
Adagigo Cafe has the best office view with vast sea view in front of their shop. They have interesting drinks on their menu that worth the try too.
Sipping away my coffee while immersing with these view, life’s great!
Top things to do in Kenting #2: Shadao 砂島
The next top things to do in Kenting is to walk on Shadao beach which the sand is made up of seashells & corals. How unique! This is also why Shadao beach is another popular beach to visit in Kenting.
There is an preserved area on Shadao beach to persevere the shell sand 贝壳砂 which is caused by strong waves and erosion over a period of time so the shell sand are then formed naturally.
Top Things to do in Kenting #3: Visit the lighthouse at Elunabi Park 鹅銮鼻公园
Eluanbi park is situated at the most southern point of Taiwan. The white iconic lighthouse was built in 1883 to prevent shipwrecks caused by hidden reefs, typhoons and strong wind from happening.
Eluanibi park is a spacious national park where you can enjoy the far-away sea view and the greenly landscape. As kenting is a popular destination during summer,do expect to be packed with tourists.
There is a secret hideout popular with the locals which is a hiking trails that lead you to towards the ocean, the Southern most point 最南点!
Top things to do in Kenting #4: Longpan Park 龙磐公园
Longpan park has the most beautiful coastline that is formed by limestone resulting in cliff, penetration holes, notches, limestone caves and red soil. The cliffs are made up of different sizes of limestone rock due to the sea water keeps eroding along joints.
Feeling tranquil at Longpan park with the cool sea breeze blowing on my face, it’s really relaxing seeing the endless ocean. Longpan park is also an ideal place to catch sunset & sunrise.
Top things to do in Kenting #5: Wanlitong 萬里桐
Wanlitong 萬里桐 is another hidden gem in Kenting that is located in a quiet fishing village in Kenting, Pingtung. Absolutely less crowded than other popular Kenting beaches such as Nanwan 南灣.
At Wanlitong, you can get real close to the sea even when you are not diving. However, first you have to go through all the limestone rocks first.
We have got a surprise visitor, Sea cucumber that we found on the shore. What are the odds that you can find a sea cucumber easily in a national park?
Rest assured that we did put the sea cucumber back once after we finished taking photos. Our driver told us that visitors who found any sea creatures are not allowed to take away, otherwise fine can be given.
Wanlitong is a paradise for snorkeling & diving lovers. Wanlitong is a well preserved national park with the clear blue water, you can expect to spot many beautiful corals, reefs and fishes. Worth to try snrokelling or diving in Wanlitong!
Top things to do in Kenting #6: Jialeshui 佳樂水
Kenting is a very relaxing place to visit with plenty of sea views to be immerse with. Jia le shui 佳樂水 is one of the most picturesque places in Kenting with awe-inspiring coastline & strong yet comfortable wind.
At Jia le shui 佳樂水, right beside the pacific ocean it’s popular for spotting different shapes of the rock formations from the artist named the mother nature. The different shapes of rocks formations such as sea frog stones, rabbit stones, honeycomb rocks & etc are formed after continuous erosion by the strong winds & waves.
There is a buggy on service that drive you along the coast to view the rock formations and illustration provided by the tour guide driver. It was really interesting to see the rock formations.
Jia le shui is also a surfing paradise for surfers. That’s good for beginners on ‘bad days’ and great for more experienced surfers on ‘good days’! There are plenty of cozy surf shops integrated with cafe for the ease of surfers. Definitely hoped to go back Kenting for surfing next time soon~
Top things to do in Kenting #7: Fengchuisha 風吹沙
Fengchuisha 風吹沙 is another beautiful spot to enjoy the vast ocean. Thankfully, our driver brought us to Fengchuisha, it was really an amazing place.
Fengchuisha is situated along the highway, just stop your car properly by the side & enjoy the view~
A day of itinerary, Kenting’s scenery keeps making me feeling touched uncontrollably. However, I secretly hope that the government can grow more grass. The grass on the ground seems to be missing, spoiling a little of ambience.
Top things to do in Kenting #8: Xiao liuqiu 小琉球
In Kenting, you can even do an Island hopping to Xiao Liuqi 小琉球, it’s just a ferry away to paradise! Xiao Liuqi will be on my list on my next trip. If you would like to have a day to Xiao Luiqi, to ease your planning you can book a day trip to Xiao Liuqi by KLOOK.
If time is on your side, I would recommend a 3 day 2 night itinerary in Xiao Liuqi cause there is so much to do!
Search for a cozy minsu & plan your Xiao Liuqi’s attractions. Activities such as snorkeling, diving with turtles, sightseeing and indulge in their local famous delicacy. Even watching the clear blue sea, hearing the soothing waves to recharge yourself would be fulfilling & alluring! Kenting is definitely suitable for all seasons, it’s about how you twist & turn your travel plans.
