For a first-timer traveling to Taipei, it’s quite a headache to decide where is the right place to stay in Taipei. Usually, most of them will recommend staying at Ximending where the young vibes or nightlife is found.

However, if you wish to experience more Taiwanese local living I would definitely recommend staying away from Ximending.

During my Taiwan trip, I have booked K Hotel Taipei Chang An & the nearest MRT station is Songjiang Nanjing Station. From the Songjiang Nanjing Station, you only need 2 – 3 minutes to reach the hotel.

According to Google ratings, K Hotel Taipei Chang An is a 3-star hotel with 4.2 ratings. With such a high rating for a 3-star hotel, this hotel is worth the stay.

K Hotel Taipei Chang An has newly refurbished in 2017. Therefore, their furniture and facilities are still considered new.

This hotel is also situated strategically near the Mrt station with plenty of local eateries & convenience store nearby.

In the morning, there are many stalls along the streets selling breakfast while the commuters walking past rushing to work. This is another way of experiencing Taiwanese local way of living.

K Hotel Taipei Chang An Deluxe Twin Room

We have booked a Deluxe twin room with 2 single beds. The room concept portrays simplicity, modern & clean look.

The interior design is decorated with 3 main colours – White, dark brown & light brown (Wood texture) to bring comfort to the guest.

Simple is more when a room is not overly decorated & the room colour tone utilized makes me feel comfortable & comfortable to look at. I felt comfortable staying at K Hotel Taipei Chang An because the room is spacious. Even after putting down my luggage, there is still room for me to walk around.

Another plus point about this hotel room is the bright lighting in the room. Personally, I prefer a bright concept room than a dark concept room.

Their bathroom is also really spacious with all the essential bathroom facilities & especially if there is a bathtub for a 3-star hotel it’s something luxury!

Complimentary 24hrs Coffee

K Hotel Taipei Chang An differentiates themselves by providing complimentary services such as 24hrs free coffee & complimentary washing machine for guests too.

How cool that you can fix your caffeine 24/7 as and when you need with this coffee machine!

Taiwan Hotel with complimentary Washing Machine & Dryer Facilities

A complimentary sharing washing machine & dryer is a complete savior for travelers. You can wash your dirty clothes in the hotel so you can empty up your luggage space by bringing lesser clothes.

K Hotel Taipei Chang An is really thoughtful for providing complimentary detergent, laundry bag & washing machine facilities for the guests to use.

Hotel Breakfast

The overall breakfast experience was good as there are different varieties of food. However, if you have enough time, I would recommend you to fix your breakfast in a Taiwanese breakfast shop. It’s a pity if you miss out on Taiwan traditional local breakfast such as Shao Bing, Dan ping, dou jiang & etc.

My whole staying experience with them is pleasant. The service quality definitely felt better than an average 3-star hotel. For a “Smart Budget-conscious” or “Seeking-A-Occasional-Luxurious” traveler, K Hotel Taipei Chang An is a good choice of hotel to stay when you visit Taipei.
